Fix Windows 10 Won’t Boot After Update

I don’t know what else to do. Tech support ran me through options and nothing worked. I am supposed to expect a call from a specialist, or something to that nature, but I’m not sure what to expect. I need help.. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I disabled all the boot devices except the USB. It goes straight to the USB to boot. Note Use the Bootrec. If rebuilding the BCD store doesn’t resolve the startup issue, you can export and delete the BCD store and then run this option again. By doing this, you make sure that the BCD store is completely rebuilt. To do this, type the following commands at the Windows RE command prompt:. Thank you for the help. I finally fixed it myself by using the Boot-Repair Disk, a Linux bootable disk. I did try the bootrec options several times without success.

I also tried renaming and then rebuilding the BCD without success, but these steps might have been important to helping Boot-Repair Disk to finally succeed. Thank you for keeping us updated and we appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have performed.
